Character Education and
Cultural Respect

At Cornerstone Academy, we believe in the importance of character education and we believe in the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6...Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Using universal Christian principles with a biblical basis, we train and model good character traits so that our students will be a "light of the world" (Matthew 5:14-16).   

 

The school also values instilling cultural respect in our students. We emphasize Chinese culture and traditions, but we teach students to value and respect all cultures and understanding the importance of respecting families and individuals from all backgrounds. Through activities, discussions, and lessons focused on understanding and honoring different perspectives, we help students build empathy and strengthen relationships. By promoting a culture of respect, we ensure that every student feels supported, valued, and connected, encouraging them to appreciate both their own heritage and the uniqueness of others.
