International Students – Overview
Students from other countries entering grades 6-12 and seeking to study in the United States should consider applying as an international student. We offer programs for students at all levels of English language proficiency, from the very beginning to the very advanced. Typically, students with beginning or intermediate level English language proficiency spend one or two years in our English Language Immersion and/or English Language Development programs and then are able to attend regular or honors level classes with no additional assistance. We also offer other programs such as our English Language Jumpstart and our Individual or Group Tutoring Assistance Programs to help students be successful.

Students have several different options for living arrangements while a student at Cornerstone. They can live with a local relative or guardian or a local host family. We also offer a comprehensive boarding program or in our dormitories where students can choose either a five day or seven day per week boarding option.
International students studying in the United States require an F-1 visa and an I-20 document from Cornerstone. Once the student has been admitted, we issue the I-20 form prior to the student’s interview at the U.S. Consulate.
